Southwestern Landscapes: Sedona from Jerome

Landscapes, acrylics. Sedona, Arizona. "I love space so much that I wanted to get away from the enclosure of Sedona's hot red rocks in the summer, so drove west twenty miles across the Verde Valley to the small, former mining town of Jerome, set high on the side of a mountain. From here, I could look across the undulating shapes of mesas towards Sedona. Clouds formed every day. I wanted to paint the light, the space, and the repetitive layered forms of earth and sky."
