Expressive still-lifes, paintings, acrylics. "I ate these grapefruit. Afterwards, I saw them in a frying pan lid on the sink, where I was struck by their significance. They were so expressive, perhaps of life's used-up or never used aspects. But, they were beautiful, too, as objects, solid objects, manifesting the beautiful three-dimensionality of the world that I prize. I put the grapefruit on a space heater covered by a red cloth. That's the heater exhaust pipe above left. I placed the two peppers in front. Jessie kids me that they are us (like the two fish in 'Red Snapper, Cezanne and Van Gogh'?). She's probably right."
