Landscapes: Sunflowers in Field
Important casein paintings, major realist florals of sunflowers. "This is the first of three paintings of large sunflowers (I was photographed in front of it). The painting concentrates on a single plant painted in the field. Some time after, when this and other plants had matured and produced flowers, I took them into the studio in a watering can where I painted their beauty and the changes that took place."
