I Saw the Moon Tonight...A Poem

Startled,
I saw the moon tonight,
bigger than it ever was,
rising orange like the sun,
swelling,
dwarfing
purple mountain cacti;
a great, gleaming coin
of God's realm
filling the sky
with violet and yellow
light.
